Welche Verbände wirken im Musikleben?

Zahlreiche Organisationen engagieren sich im Musikleben in Deutschland. Das Deutsche Musikinformationszentrum (miz) verzeichnet Institutionen, die von ihrer Aufgabenstellung her bundesweit oder international angelegt sind; in Einzelfällen werden aufgrund besonderer historischer oder regionaler Gegebenheiten auch landesweit oder regional tätige Organisationen aufgeführt. Viele der dargestellten Verbände und Gesellschaften sind in Landesverbände untergliedert. Diese nennt das miz jeweils unter den entsprechenden Verbänden. Die zahlreichen regionalen und lokalen Gesellschaften und Vereinigungen, die für das Musikleben von Ländern, Regionen, Städten und Gemeinden eine unverzichtbare Rolle spielen, führt das miz aus Kapazitätsgründen nicht auf.
